I was tasked with creating the product illustrations for this packaging design. I initially tried to render these in 3D, but I just couldn’t get them looking nice enough. I ended up using the 3D models as guides and doing some extensive Photoshop brush work and layer masking to get them looking just right!
This is a piece that always makes me smile when I walk into sweet shops and newsagents and see them hanging there! It’s fun doing confectionery design work and I have completed many jobs for Bassetts – from sales presenters and limited colour ‘outer’ print artwork right through to customer facing multi-channel print artwork destined for packaging design like this.
