Phil Groves Photography

Phil Groves Photography website

The client wanted an easy to update, flexible website – WordPress was ideally suited to handle this, supported by a couple of custom plugins to improve image handling. It was especially important for the client to have thumbnail editing capabilities, which I delivered through a custom Javascript based WordPress plugin which allowed Phil to manipulate individual thumbnail images (at two different sizes) to control the different gallery views.

Through my customised version of WordPress, Phil really does have complete control over the entire site, including the building of the javascript based gallery areas in the header and footer areas. These images are pulled randomly from a common pool of portfolio images that Phil can easily change just by clicking a checkbox – it really couldn’t be easier!

This is all wrapped up in a unique, original CSS/XHTML design that fully validates through the W3C checker – not an easy task when you are throwing in a whole bunch of Javascript along with a customised ‘lightbox’ effect for the larger image display.
